TJ busing question (Western Fairfax)

We live in the Herndon/ Chantilly area and have a freshman starting at TJ in the fall. We are trying to plan for the fall (2 working parents and 2 kids in different schools), and I have a question about busing. DC went to Carson last year, which I believe was a TJ bus depot. I assumed TJ kids rode the MS bus to Carson and then switched to the TJ bus. But I now see that TJ starts at 8:40, so I'm guessing that the TJ bus does not leave Carson until 7:40 ish. Since MS buses arrive at Carson at 7:00, do the TJ students ride the HS and get dropped off? Can anyone tell me how this worked last year (which bus TJ kids take from their neighborhoods and about what time the TJ bus leaves)? Depending on the timing, DC will use the depot at Carson, Franklin or Chantilly. I tried contacting the transportation office and they are not helpful. Thanks!

You'll get a letter in the mail from TJ with your bus assignment, so I wouldn't worry about it till then. We've never used the bus and have either driven or carpooled, so you might find something like that works out for you.

My kids take the bus at Carson. They take the MS bus from neighborhood stop and then transfer to the TJ bus that leaves around 7:30am (and gets in into TJ around 8:20am-ish)
You're right, the MS bus gets in early and there's some wait between the buses. It's a long journey no doubt.
