I didn’t move the goal post, I was a different poster. That article was written when they had been dating for 3-4 months and it was shameful. That did not bother or slow Meghan from quickly getting engaged and married (into a family that is the seat of colonialism by the way). Nor did her future husband’s relative wearing a slave brooch at their introduction give her pause.

So to dig out an article from 2016, and make it the centerpiece of this claim that racist coverage drove her out of U.K. is, frankly, reaching. But it’s definitely good identity politics and grows the fan base.

Agree. A word of support would have been nice. Just having the expectation is not so nice. So much easier to let go of all expectations...then you are never disappointed.

There have been certain statements here and elsewhere that M wasn't the easiest new Royal. Things like inappropriate clothes to certain events and umm, staff turnover.

Meghan didn't "leave." Per the website she and Harry made, they wanted to remain working royals, they just did not want to be "senior" royals anymore, and they wanted to live part time in Canada and make money for themselves. The Queen - said "sure' but you're not royals anymore.

Good for the Queen. You just don’t change years of tradition because the newest member is unhappy.

What if your own grandson has been unhappy for years?

maybe the queen should have written an uplifting message for him on a banana "you're super awesome harry!!!"...

….or maybe he didn't need that because before he met Meghan he seemed to be "thriving"-- setting up Invictus, sentebale, and working hard on causes that were really important to him (like working as a hand at a game preserve in Africa)… he was smiley and jokey with his brother and sister in law, and always happy around the queen.

Long before he met Meghan, he spoke about struggling with his mental health.

My theory is that Harry has never forgiven Charles for the way his mother was treated. Unlike William he had a choice and made a run for it as soon as the opportunity presented itself.

Just seems a bit odd that making a run for it while continuing to accept Charles's funds, whether from his dad's "private investments" or the Duchy of Cornwall does not seem to bother him. Or if it bothers H, so far nothing has been put forth in the public arena on that contradiction.

MM did not know what she was getting herself into. But b/c I am convinced she's a narcissist (personal experiences), she will figure out a way to make herself out to be a victim. She's already done so with the press. Remember the "poor, poor pitiful me" interview?

If she's a smart narc, she'll reinvent herself - with or without Harry. Archie is her "insurance." If Harry's a man with skills, he can certainly live w/o money from the royals. But I'm not sure what his skills are. Even so, MM isn't saying no to any supplementary income. After all, whatever Meghan wants, Meghan gets. Isn't that right, Harry?
