TL/DR "You guys basically lied about everything, hid things, twisted the truth and then blamed shit on 'partisan pol'- and heres all the proof and evidence needed to back it up" |
| Zzzzzzzzz |
| Great, so the Dems should release the things Gowdy has withheld. |
| I dislike Clinton, but this is the same jackass who added fake redactions to a document to make it look like a particular email Clinton forwarded contained state secrets. He really does not have much credibility. |
| This is page after page of him repeating that Cummings didn't think additional investigation was warranted. No shit, it has been investigated a half dozen times. Anyhow, how is this a political scandal? Cummings has said this on record 50 times. Most of the citations are to public hearings and he said it during Clinton's testimony, which was widely televised. You can disagree with him, but it's approximately the opposite of a cover up. |
|
This is a response to Cummings, because he leaked the finding of Republican investigator Dana Chipman: "nothing could have affected what occurred in Benghazi."
Gowdy does not like people hearing this. They have interviewed 100 people, not counting the other Benghazi investigations. Any more people and we will have the whole city of Benghazi accounted for. |
That statement by Chipman was in reference to a DOD response. There is a lot more to the investigation that that. But, I guess in your mind "what difference does it make" |
| We clearly need a new investigation to investigate the investigating investigators! |

Agree. He may have a case but his credibility is shot by his own incompetence and by admission of other members that the sole purpose was political. |
| Harold Trey Gowdy III #ImpotentRage |
Really, there is a lot more to the investigation than that? Because I would think that if there was we'd actually have heard it by now. In the meantime we've been treated to tons of right wing blow hards telling us how there was a stand down order from DoS and if there hadn't been there wouldn't have been any loss of life, so the fact that the committee's own investigator concluded a DOD response would not have changed anything is a pretty significant conclusion that Gowdy apparently didn't want anyone to hear. |
+1. Also that people seem to think that the Secretary of State could have given a stand down order to the CIA continues to amuse me greatly. |
Who could have? Where was Obama during this timeframe? Still unanswered. |
| In short, there's no real "obstruction" - just Gowdy whining and lashing out because neither the conspiracy theory's smoking guns - nor any real evidence for them - ever materialized. |
