Persons of Interest Sought in an Assault with a Dangerous Weapon/Aggravated Assault: 1700 block of I (“Eye”) Street, Northwest



(Washington, DC) - The Metropolitan Police Department seeks the public's assistance in identifying three persons of interest in reference to a Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Other)/ Aggravated Assault incident that occurred in the 1700 block of I (“Eye”) Street, Northwest, on Saturday, May 21, 2016, at approximately 2:10 am.



The victim was assaulted by two suspects.

Anyone who has information regarding this case should call police at 202-727-9099. Additionally, information may be submitted to the TEXT TIP LINE by text messaging 50411. And DC has that extra special problem of having federal prosecutors who are not accountable to DC citizens, and these prosecutors keep dropping the ball and keep putting violent criminals back out on the street.

The blip over the last few years is still way below where it was 10 or 20 years ago. Bottom line, it is a lot lower than in decades past. Worry about something else.

The blip over the last few years is still way below where it was 10 or 20 years ago. Bottom line, it is a lot lower than in decades past. Worry about something else.


It's a blip until it becomes a trend. Better to worry about it now before that happens.

Are you so out of touch with reality? Violent crime, in the last couple years, has increased through out the country, not just the DC area.

i can't imagine why anyone would be on the street at 17th and I at 2 in the morning on Saturday.
