do credit hours or comp hours get paid off when you leave federal service?

No. And as mentioned above, they also expire 1 yr after accrual.
I think the specifics of how they are handled is agency-dependent, though. If you change jobs between agencies, they also don't always transfer. You should always use your comp hours first. |
