| I'm new to DC/MD area. Is there a book or some online guide that will describe/explain the private schools in the area and the tests needed for entrance? |

| Georgia Irvin's guide has them all. Also, go to AISGW.org. This is the Association of Independent Schools of Greater Washington. You should find info there as well. |

| Oh, also go to NAIS.org. This is the National Association of Independent Schools. They have a search tool where you can put in what you're looking for - co-ed, boys only, K-12, high school, boarding, day, religious, etc. That search might help at least give you a list to start with. |
