I am not Jewish but I don’t see how those two events together don’t create the perception of an anti-Semitic environment.

Eager to read whatever Nysmith has to say for himself as this develops.

Sorry but this is ridiculous. You want to avoid hanging a Palestinian flag to avoid “emotionally harming” Jews? Utter nonsense.

Then hang the Israeli flag too.

It already was up.

It's been up for years. This is a space where many national flags are already hanging. This part of the complaint is really petty and idiotic and reflects poorly on the parents. They should have kept it out and focused on all the legitimate issues they're facing.

And we wonder why the world is irredeemable and the future is bleak for all our kids. Well done.

Why haven’t you mentioned the genocide in Sudan? How about the slaughter of Druze in Syria? How about the slaughter of Jews in Israel on October 7th? How about the genocide of Uyghurs? How about the slaughter of over 500,000 people in Syria?

Dp. America is literally responsible for the genocide in Gaza. While all of humanity bears responsibility for helping those in need, this thread is not about all of the genocides. Your what about ism is really transparent.

Not to mention - why does the fact that people are being killed in genocides or violence around the world mean that we shouldn’t care about or try to prevent or work to punish “lesser” bad things that happen here? Me eating all my dinner never helped the starving children in wherever that my mother always mentioned if I didn’t clean my plate, and condemning acts of antisemitism against schoolchildren will neither help nor hurt the people of Gaza.

For those of us who canceled our WaPo subscriptions in light of Bezos’ censorship perhaps someone could use a gift link or summarize what was said?

What did the parents do that makes them colossal bullies? What suggests they are misrepresenting what happened?

So, you don’t want to fund the weapons because bezos controls the editorial page, and you want the paper to shut down even though you are desperate for the reporting the journalists do? Make it make sense.

You’re just cheap.

That current families aren't coming out against Nysmith is telling to me. That the family said they don't trust the school to educate their children, why would the school then keep them? What exactly do you think should have happened here (not sure what they are trying to get exactly from the lawsuit, other than attention and a big payday)?
