Carrie Bradshaw was not good looking enough for her dating life

Agree with this completely. She had (has) a gorgeous body, a ton of charisma and a quick wit.
She's the kind of person who can talk about the weather or shopping for bread and she'd still command the attention of everyone in the vicinity. She's 100% an "it" girl.

Yes! I read once that being an It girl was down to being able to talk about anything and make it interesting. She definitely had that. And she was funny!

This...which is exactly why she had a column. People who are successful columnists/bloggers etc. often have the gift of making their everyday life seem so fascinating that you're hooked and want to know what happens next and tune back in.

If it was modern times, she'd definitely be an influencer!

Don't you think that I likely why the show was so popular with woman? Can you imaging if she had been played by Kate Upton?

Her dating life? She had like three serious relationships and a lot of one-night stands/few weeks of f*ckery. She was hot enough for that. She was an easy lay with a good body.

+1. I had a friend in college who had a similar look and was extremely confident. Men *loved* her. She would go into a bar and men would literally fall over themselves to talk to her. It was amazing to watch.

I have low self confidence and have always wondered where confident people get that confidence. Is it innate? Good parenting?

I agree that people are drawn to it, as long as it doesn't cross over to overconfidence or arrogance.

Cary Bradshaw is down right ugly! I guess she can laugh all the way to the bank though. I will never know how she became a star.πŸ‘ŽπŸ»πŸ‘ŽπŸ»πŸ‘ŽπŸ»

She can sing, dance, and act. What can you do?

I think she was ropey and tempting in her sinewy way.

She had her moments but her personality alone would have not attracted those men

Sarah Jessica Parker is married to Matthew Broderick. They got married in 1997, when he was at the height of his career: Glory, Ferris Bueller's Day Off, Lion King, The Cable Guy, Election, How to Succeed in Business Without Even Trying, The Producers...

If she can catch and hold Broderick, then she's cute enough to play Carrie Bradshaw and have Carrie Bradshaw's dating life.

She's not conventioally pretty, but she is charismatic and attractive.
