Has anyone tried "It's Just Lunch"

Anonymous
I got a call from them and was kinda interested. Fees can be high but it might work out from hearing their sales pitch. Anyone have any experience with them or know someone who has?

The super-expensive dating service? It's awful for women.

A friend of mine signed up for a similar service, but not that exact one. She spent thousands and it was a pretty bad experience overall. None of the so-called matches was even close to what she was looking for. They guaranteed so many matches in a 24 month period and had trouble delivering. She had to kind of harass them to send her matches. (BTW, she no raving beauty or anything, but a solid 7. She was late 30s at the time, master's degree, European, decent job....)

Back when I was single, I always did want to try this! I thought it sounded like a neat concept. Heck, I don't care, I'll eat lunch with anybody. A girl's gotta eat, right? That was always my thinking. Haha.

I had a few friends who did it. All thought it was a scam. As a PP mentioned, they have trouble delivering men to meet, let alone men that might be a good match for you.

PP again. It's Just Lunch settled a multi-million dollar lawsuit earlier this year

" According to the lawsuit, the site’s customers claimed they were overcharged for allegedly personalized matchmaking services while disregarding daters’ stated preferences such as age, employment and marital status, and criminal background."

I know a couple of women who've done it. They regretted it.

Oops, that sounded like something really bad happened. Actually they just met several arrogant loser types.

I think it's wonderful that OP has gotten this info. Hurray for the internet.

Maybe it isn't the men in those cases. Perhaps these women wanted 150k engagement rings.
