At what age did you give your kid a pillow and blankets? Just curious on when this tends to happen |
1.5 |
About 2 |
Around 2 - toddler pillow and light blanket (the aden & anais swaddle blanket). |
Around 1 for a blanket. He's almost 2 and we still haven't given him a pillow, but for no particular reason - he just hasn't seemed to need or want it. I suppose we'll give him one when he starts sleeping in a bed. |
At age 2. It was actually a birthday present. We also removed pacifiers at the same time--we had been talking it up for weeks, saying that big kids don't use pacis but DO get pillows and blankets! Worked great. |
About 2.5, when we took the side off of the crib to make a toddler bed. |
Gave a blanket this winter when it was cold, at 1.5 -- crocheted one that would have been easy to breathe through. No pillow yet, that will probably come with a big kid bed. Doesn't seem so useful for a stomach sleeper, anyway. |
Pillow around 2.5. blanket around 1.5. |
NP. I'm curious for those who added blankets. I'm less concerned about safety by 1.5-2 but I have a mover. He doesn't just lay still and sleep. Do yours move around? Is the blanket less about real warmth and more about having it and snuggling? I'd be open to it but mine doesn't seem interested in loveys and definitely doesn't lay still. Just curious! |
Probably 18 months? Definitely well before 2. |
