Jeff, I vaguely remember you attempted to set up an "I Saw Your Nanny" forum(at the request of others) along with a feedback forum-why does this not exist anymore? What exactly were the problems with it?

I created some fairly basic guidelines for the forum to which nobody adhered. The threads all turned to flamewars, often with a racial overtone.

I think those that post "I saw your nanny" messages mean well, but the posts stir up a lot of trouble. We've operated the DCUM mailing list and website for over six years and probably seen over 100 such posts. In all that time, I know of two that resulted in a parent finding out what's going on (and one of those did not find out via DCUM). So, in addition to causing big headaches, the posts are not very effective.

In contrast to the repeated support shown for "I saw your nanny" posts, a recent "I saw your husband" message resulted in near universal demands that it be removed. I'm not sure what to make of that, but I found it a bit ironic.
