Anyone use these "period undies" or think they would be a good idea postpartum for lochia?

I had a lot of post partum bleeding, and Depends worked best for me for the first week or two. After that, and I'm somoene who continued to have bleeding out to 8 weeks, it's pretty light and I would just use a pad. I guess these could work for that time, but the whole concept kind of grosses me out.
I used the restroom about 15 times a day and changed my pad on almost every trip. I would need like 30 of these to do the job. Just buy some big comfy undies and pads. Change often.
I'm extremely disgusted by those underwear. I have a nose like a truffle pig and don't want to smell rotting blood or underwear that gets changed 1x a day.
+1 I use a menstrual cup, so am no stranger to blood, but those are absolutely disgusting!! |
Another postpartum Depends user here. Reusable undies are more eco-friendly for sure. There are lots of brands beyond Thinx. I like Depends because they're made for a lot of fluid, not just the little amount of a regular period.
I think these are gross, but I do love the idea of the ones that can absorb pee leaks.
