Why would a reputable contractor change their name? Why would they want to dissociate from their previous reputation? You know the answer to that.
Let me guess, their bid is the lowest? I wonder why... |

| DO NOT hire them! They are a MAJOR mistake- trust me on this... what my husband and I have been through with them is beyond awful. No integrity and they nearly destroyed our home... I really hope you did not decide to work with them... |

| I had great experiences with Young for many years. His carpentry subcontractors are great, but his flooring sub is a disaster. He overpromised on the flooring for a project I'm still in the middle of, and I've been trying to get a hold of him for a month now to get a refund. I'd love to work with him again for capentry work, but the fact that he's not giving me a refund for the flooring work he promised is giving me pause. |

You can file a complaint with the contractor licensing board but I know in MD they are so backed up it will be at least a year before you get any resolution (we have a complaint filed from earlier this year). |

| I had Metro 1 do a kitchen remodel and a small addition with new bathroom. While the work was done quickly and cheaply, all kinds of short cuts were taking. While the plumbing permit has a licensed plumber's name, that guy never came to the site - even to check on the work. I have had persistent sewer back-ups and leaking skylight. Though Young Shin, the owner, sent guys out for 2.5 years, I still have a problem. Now, he won't return calls or emails. Big mistake to hire him. He's a real charmer, but not honest. |

I would recommend that under no circumstance anyone do business with this company: Nest Remodeling, LLC. Deok Shin/ aka Young Shin/ aka Matt Shin can best be describes as a fraud. While at first he may at first seem professional and knowledgeable, this is nothing more than a charade designed to steal your money. In addition to sending an unsupervised novice to actually perform whatever work is required for the contracted project, you will be left with no choice but to hire someone else to clean up after the mes he has left behind. I am not the only one:

| I would NOT recommend Nest Remodeling, a.k.a. "Nest Remodel" and "Metro Construction." Just fired them for incompetence and poor service. Nightmare. |

| Young Shin is a fraud a liar and does not have a staff of reputable individuals conducting work. Please know hiring him will be your biggest mistake. Don't do it! |

OMG! I can't believe he is still in business. There is something SERIOUSLY wrong with the local building code enforcement agencies if he's allowed to keep ripping people off. About $50K later, and months of paying a lawyer to fight him, we had to hire another company to tear down the non-code-compliant mess they made and rebuild it all from scratch. This was in DC. The architects and structural engineers on our project won't work with him anymore. And he never paid them. He caused us to get multiple Stop Work orders even though our contract explicitly stated he was the one responsible for obtaining the proper permits and building to compliance with those permits. DO NOT under any circumstances use Young Shin for construction work if you value your time and money.

| I just had matt give me an estimate for bathroom remodeling and his price was very good, but reading all these comments I am beginning to be scared working with him. Have any of your complaints been resolved by him? |

| Do not hire him. He will hire unlicensed contractors. He will not back up his work. He installed a tankless boiler that leaked till the hot water stopped. He never fixed my boiler. My AC he installed has broke. He will not fix. Do not hire Nest Remodeling. |
