Buy carpet remnants

| Does anyone have any experience buying carpet remnants? I'm looking for an economical way to carpet a room that's about 10'X16'. Does this size even qualify as a remnant? If you get a remnant, does the vendor finish the edges? Any recommendations for carpet stores selling remnants in the Bethesda/Rockville area? Any advice would be much appreciated. Thanks. |

| I've heard home depot will take their wall - to wall carpet and put a border around it (bind it, basically, to make it a rug) and sell it to you for a pretty reasonable price. I would start there. Most major carpet and floor companies would probably do that too. |

| We bought a remnant from Carpet Palace in Bethesda on Wisconsin Ave. They have a HUGE selection of nice carpets. They will bind the edges for you and provide a carpet pad as well. |
