Private OT/PT Willing to Go to Private School to Provide Service

Anonymous
Anyone have any recommendations? My son attends private school, and for several reasons we are not inclined to send him to our local public school where he would receive services for PT/OT in-house. He already receives these privately, this would be in addition. He currently is getting resources via a Preschool Resource teacher, and I am interested in finding someone who can come once a week and do the same things at his school. Thanks in advance!

It's going to depend on what kind of OT/PT your child needs. I know with my daughter, her PT uses quite a lot of equipment that would not be portable to another site. Some children, however, just need exercises or the PT can carry a bag of small equipment or an exercise ball.

Where are you located? Would it be possible for your child to travel to the PT during the school day, once a week?

Skill Builders in Annandale will send therapists to the school. It costs more per hour but they'll do it.
