Surprising Kids with a Trip to Universal Studios

My DH and I are surprising our 3 and 5 year old sons with a trip to Universal Studios as a (major) part of their Christmas gifts. I wanted to know if any of you had any ideas on how to go about doing that? Most of what I find online is for older children. If it helps, they both like Jurassic World and Minions and my oldest likes Harry Potter.

TIA

They don't need to be surprised. Going is plenty of excitement.

True, but since it is a major part of their Christmas gifts, I thought having something to physically give them would be fun.

The Dr Seuss area at one of the universal parks is adorable and my 6 and 4 yo loved it, just FYI.

Are you going over Christmas break? Like "pack your bags, we are going on vacation"?

If you are creative you can write a fun, Seuss style rhyming poem about the adventure you are about to go on and put it in an envelope for them to open.

Listen, I hate to be a party pooper, but I would not do this now (unless you have the means to go back when they are older). The main draw of Universal is Harry Potter. You six year old might not be tall enough to ride the main rides. It is really cool visually and he will like it, but he won't remember it. I'd wait three years for this trip.

Agree. I'd do MK or Hollywood Studios, bur not Universal for that age group.

Another plus 1 here. We go to all the parks, every year and universal is not for children that young. There are not many rides for them.
