Some airports don't allow Uber or Lyft drivers, in my experience. At LAX in particular has anyone found a way around this? It can be $110 by taxi to my destination in LA metro area, but $40 by Uber. Sometimes SuperShuttle is too slow. Advice?
Take a cab somewhere really close and Uber the rest of the way?

Uber is allowed, UberX is not. You can use their mid-range offering, which is UberPop I believe. I've done it.
Alternatively, sneak onto a free shuttle for a hotel that's not directly at LAX and get an Uber from there. |
Cab will hate you, and kind of mean to the cab! How about airport shuttle bus to somewhere close....
Or.. take a taxi to In n Out Burger by the airport, have a nice meal, then order an UberX.
Uber to one of the nearby hotels, then take a hotel shuttle to the airport. If you feel bad, grab a drink at the hotel bar or treat yourself to a massage.
errrr Or take a hotel shuttle to one of the hotels, grab a drink then uber to your destination.

Maybe the rules changed to allow it ... anybody done this? (Same as UberPop?
