Questions about site

Hi! I am new and had a few questions-

1- why does everyone post anonymously?
2- Is there an event forum where people cna post events and happenings going on around the District? A mommy board I used to be a part of had this and it was one of the most helpful parts to find out about sales, shows, holiday things, etc.
3- I am assuming (since everyone is anonymous) that there aren't group gatherings or playgorups organized through the site?

Just wondering.

1. It's just the tradition that developed here. The topics discussed are frequently very personal and not sort of things the posters want to be easily "Googled" and connected to them.

2. If you click the link that says "EVENTS" in the top navigation bar, you will see a list of events. To add an event, click the "submit event" button that appears under the list of upcoming events in the left column (this can also be done from the home page).

3. Bad assumption. We have a forum specifically dedicated to playgroups. In addition, a couple "moms groups" have regular meetings that are announced in the forums.
