Why is the Charter School Lottery acceptance confirmation before the Speciality School Lottery notification. What happens if you are offered a seat with a charter school but haven't heard from the speciality school?

You accept it!

This happened to us - we accepted a Charter slot (our #2 choice), and then nearly 6 months later, found out we were accepted to a lottery (our #1 choice). When the admissions person at the lottery school tried to enroll my son, he realized we were enrolled somewhere else. He asked us to confirm which choice we wanted and then we just had to email the admissions person at the charter (cc'ing the admissions person at the lottery school) and let them know that we had accepted a slot elsewhere.
