A coworker just had her house burn down, she has insurance but lives paycheck to paycheck. If I am a bit higher than her in the organization, but tangential, how much do I give???

How did u find out? Are others giving money or is there an account set up? If she has insurance, she will get a check to cover everything in the house plus incidentals like hotel etc

I'd give a gift card for $50-75 to her favorite clothing store or a kids one and if she has kids a two or books or toys. Or, a gift card for dining out assuming she is in a hotel or temporary housing. If you can afford more, more.

I hate the go-fund me sites as they take a portion of the money.
