Basketball game at Naval Academy

I am taking my family to a basketball game at the Naval Academy tomorrow night (Alumni Hall). I'd appreciate any suggestions for parking. I see there is a shuttle bus, but ideally we could park some place in walking distance. Thanks!

Gate 3 is a pedestrian entrance, with parking in the streets around it.
They seem to be random in how they let people thru that gate, though.
Best to call and ask the day of it.

I'm an alumnus, and even I couldn't park on the grounds to watch the Fourth of July fireworks. But what we did, and what you should be able to do, is to park in front of the old public works building (Halligan Hall) which is now just outside Gate 8, and you should be able to walk through Gate 8. Walk past the crew house, over the bridge across College Creek, and you'll be looking at Alumni Hall just ahead and to the left.

I cut and pasted these directions to get up to Gate 8.

* Take Route 50 East towards the Bay Bridge.

* Take exit #24. Route 70 Rowe Blvd/Bestgate Road/Annapolis. Bear right. This will put you on Rowe Blvd. The Maryland State House will be in front of you.

* Turn left at second light. This is Taylor Avenue.

* Go through blinking light at the firehouse. Road comes to a stop sign, but you will not stop. As you bear right and get in left lane.

* Go through the light at King George Street. The next light is Gate 8. Turn right into the Naval Academy.

Me again. Before you get to the sentry shack, turn right and park.

Parking suggestions please…I will be attending a 4pm basketball team camp game for my cousin’s child tomorrow, Sat 6/8/24.
Please advise the best entry gate for where the game will be held. Thank you.

Make sure everyone has ID to walk through the gate.
