Going out in Public with Children on Autism Spectrum

JSSA Social Worker Quoted About Pressure on Parents, Families[/b]

A story on raising children with autism spectrum disorders aired on WAMU 88.5 FM on Monday, April 20. The story, placed by JSSA, the Jewish Social Service Agency, included comments from Jamell White, JSSA’s Director of Special Needs and Deaf Services, explaining the social pressure on parents whose children with autism have strong reactions while in public places. The placement was part of our efforts for Autism Awareness Month.

You can listen to the story now on the home page of the JSSA website, www.jssa.org
