Hi,
As of 323pm, there are 11 individual/different postings on baby nurses/doulas in the Expectant Mom forum that all end with the same "advertisement" for a specific post partum nurse/doula (or whatever she calls herself). I'm not sure if it's an overzealous user recommending the company/person or simply a subtle form of advertising. Is it a lot of work to go through all the posts and delete them all?..although the person sorta already got the message out about the services. Thanks, -grouchy pregnant mom...so not sure if this is even a legitimate reason to request a deletion. |
Seems to be a legitimate complaint - Ms. Nielson is dredging up any doula/night nurse/lactation consultant messages (some as old as November) and posting an advertisement for herself in each one of them. Annoying, to say the least! |
And has infiltrated the General Parenting forum too.
She must be desperate for business...either a sign of the economy or an indicator that she isn't that isn't as "great" as she makes herself to be. |
I counted well over 15 entries -- she's spamming us -- pulling up any topic vaguely related to her business and putting up her ad -there are topics from 2007 that have been resurrected
here are the topic numbers 22175 10366 3249 2531 2532 13008 48532 3571 33417 8610 43870 39303 32184 6009 29130 3600 9055 37172 1349 Obnoxious! |
Thanks for bringing this to my attention. I just deleted a butt-load of her messages. For the record, she violated a couple different guidelines: 1) she spammed the board; and 2) engaged in commercial advertising.
This sort of thing has been happening on and off recently. Whenever there is a dip in the economy, we see more attempts to advertise on both the website and mailing list. Since this is the biggest dip in memory, we are seeing it even more frequently. I sympathize with people who are trying to find work and will give a little leeway if they are responsible in their posts. But, bringing up threads that have been dead for over a year is pretty over the top. |
