Most of the Pizza Hut restaurants I would go to as a youth are long gone and have been replaced by carry out locations. When I order carryout from Pizza Hut more often than not I end up with a Pizza that looks like this. I try to tell my wife & kids this is not what the Pizza looked like when I used to eat at Pizza Hut when I was growing up. What has your experience been with carryout pizza from Pizza Hut? |

We went to Pizza Hut to dine in. We'd get coupons from school for a free individual deep dish pizza -- I forget if it was for perfect attendance, or good citizenship, or grades. Every 6 weeks, we'd go out to eat to Pizza Hut and redeem our coupons for our free pizza. Yum.
Other than that, we never ate there or had their pizza. |
| Bland. Same as yours. |
| We went to Pizza Hut too! It was in the midwest in the 1970s and 1980s. Loved that pizza. Agree that it has changed. |
| I loved Pizza Hut, too - especially the bread sticks but I don't like it now. I just assumed that I changed and that my standards of "good" are much higher now. |

OP here.
Going out to eat with a 2 year old is a disaster. Restaurants are not an option for us right now. So we just settle for oven pizzas we buy at the grocery store and can cook at home. Some of which are quite good too. |
| It hasn't changed, you just became a snob. I still think it's good, but that's because I am someone who can appreciate a wide variety of foods. |
I think those older restaurants must have had better ovens in them or something. |
No. It has gone downhill. |
No. I do not think that is the case. At least with me. |
+1000 The OP's pic is the truth. |

Our pizza hut is fantastic ! They make the pepperoni and everything on it pizzas like the old days. We buy thick crust with little sauce, extra pepperoni. Same with the everything.
The boneless honey barbecue wings are so good. It's the only food I buy outside of the home. A few times a year. |
It was for Book It. I loved going to Pizza Hut with my family to have my Book It pizza. |

Its my and my husband's favorite pizza, hands down. I love how it has not changed since I was a kid.
Your local one must be the problem; ours look and taste great. |
From the north. Agree, of course there weren't as many choices and we didn't know any better. Brick oven is definitely the best. |
