More like her fellow ANC's |
I think we're agreeing? |
The only houses that I have seen JLG signs are in a couple of group houses. The young neighbors who couldn’t even clean the snow from sidewalk in the winter. |
Clearly, JLG has accomplished nothing or you would post it. Ward 4 deserves better. |
You are welcome to look up the CMs accomplishments- it's not my job to convince you who to vote for. Based on the tone of people in this thread I have no faith that I could post anything that you would accept |
For others interested, here are her accomplishments. PP clearly is a blind supporter of JLG who can’t seem to name any accomplishments: https://www.janeese4dc.com/my-record |
Ty for sharing: I promise I'm not blind - when I shared this on the other W4 thread I was told it didn't count because it came from her web site. These are the arguments that kept me from posting it here |
I looked and the first item was lawsuits against landlords. It’s a AG responsibility not a Council responsibility and she didn’t even say how many or what the outcome was beyond “consent decrees”. The second item was what she calls her “proudest achievement”, the Homes and Hearts Budget Amendment. What she didn’t say was that it was a major tax increase that she claimed would actually “end homelessness”. Instead, what it did was dramatically increase vouchers and we know how that went. Not just along Connecticut Ave but the Post did some stories about how voucher recipients have brought drugs and violence to affordable housing communities while creating a cottage industry of voucher targeting slum lords. And how is the homelessness problem going? She seems like a very nice person one-to-one but unfortunately her politics are fundamentally unserious and have actually harmed people. No thank you. |
The reason people are so unhappy with Janeese is because they feel like she never listens to her constituents. She has all these weird ideas that no one wants and yet she seems to think that she knows better than everyone else. |
Not impressed. I read it. She had things like this: "I'm an incredibly proud supporter of our local small businesses, including our five Main Street corridors including Uptown Main Street, Takoma Main Street, Lower and Upper Georgia Avenue Main Street and our newest Main Street program at The Parks." Oh, ok. Wow, that's an accomplishment. |
Agree. I feel like she only represents a small section of Ward 4. She ignores the majority of Ward 4. |
How was the debate? |
Yes, I'd love to know how how the debate was. I missed it; I think it's unfortunate to schedule it during DCPS spring break, but oh well. |
Did Lisa show up this time? |
Anyone looking at Paul Johnson? I spoke with him for a long time and liked has pragmatic approach. |
