Do you buy your middle schooler Aviator Nation clothes?

You can also find them discounted on Poshmark. My child has a bunch but they were hand-me-downs from a family friend.

They're very cozy. I bought a few hoodies and sweatpants on TheRealReal and have bought them for my daughter for her birthday.

Free City used to be popular with the young dancers and it’s in the same price range as Aviator Nation. I’m not sure of the brand’s popularity these days. It’s cuter than the Nation stuff but still overpriced.

I’m still trying to find lightweight sweatpants that fit a six grader who is awkwardly in between puberty so children’s clothes no longer fit and women’s don’t seem to fit right.

The sweatpants are $156!!!!!! Hahahahaha

No. Full stop.

I remember thinking guess jeans and limited clothing were must haves. I outgrew it, I am sure she will mature too.

Unfortunately some kids don't grow out of it and it becomes a lifelong dumb obsession. Even though I can afford it, I don't want to have the kind of teen who frets over labels, especially when it's all made in the same Chinese sweatshops as Amazon Basics clothing.

Actually, it's made in California, not china:
"Aviator Nation garments are handmade in our California factory."

NP, but still hard no. I’d rather buy my teen an American Giant hoodie that is made in the US, stronger and (much) better made, AND $50 less than an AN hoodie. I’m not facilitating chasing obnoxious obviously branded clothing for the sake of fitting in with the entitled masses.

Maybe I’ll get myself some and then when it gets popular at school my kids won’t want it because I will have made it uncool.

I have a lot of AN gear that my kids were gifted - we are from California where all this is from. I’m willing to sell at cheap price for barely used sweatshirts and sweatpants.

Since she asked, and I started paying attention, it does seem like a lot of kids are wearing AN gear. Am I a cheapskate if I don't want to spend big bucks on this stuff?

I wouldn’t get it as a routine purchase but I may buy DD one item for a special occasion ( Christmas, birthday )if it’s on sale . Or I’ll put up half the money and tell DD to spend the rest from her allowance.
It’s amazing how the minute your kids feel like they have to pay for something from their own money, items suddenly move from the “ need” to the “ want “ category!

We are in Vienna and I haven’t heard of this brand. I’m going to ask my teens when they wake up. Neither have asked for any. They want Lululemon, Nike, White Fox…those type of brands.

Hard no to Aviator Nation. This is easy for me. I never gave into the Yeti or Vineyard Vines phase either.
