I have been keeping my family photos electronically for the past 3 years. Whenever we want to share/show the photos with our family/friends when they come over to our house, we have to turn on my computer and sit down in our home office to look at our digital album. We used to have pictures all printed and put them in those heavy albums, and we can sit back on our couch and enjoy looking at the photos with our family/friends. I've got more than 3,000 photos, and I don't think I want them all printed.....What do you all do to preserve family photos lately?
We also have a huge electronic selection. Once every couple of months I order the whole batch from shutterfly. I then put my favorites in an album and the rest in a photo storage box. Every Christmas and for at least one of our vacations I've put together a shutterfly album just for that event. Unfortunately I"m behind by about 6 months so I've currently got a crate of pictures I need to sit down and deal with.
I store my photos on the computer and periodically back them up to CD. I also make albums of those that I think we would like to share or have hard copies of. Personally, I prefer looking at hard copies as opposed to photos on my computer. Also, before printing, I tend to edit the photos a bit. Like PP, I am about six months behind and need to get myself busy also.

shutterfly - you can create awesome albums on line and have them sent to you or just store them on line.
