Does Room & Board ever have sales?

Anonymous
I am eyeing a sofa there but need a discount to afford it. Do they have sale cycles or anything, or are they one of those stores that never has sales?
Anonymous
Nope, not that I've ever seen.

The only sale items Room and Board has are at their outlet just outside the Twin Cities. Not that this helps your current issue. However, if you ever had a reason to be in that area, I'd suggest stopping at the outlet. It's my understanding they will ship anywhere in the U.S.

There is a clearance section on their website.

I think they have a floor sample sale either the day after Christmas or New Year's. Ask at the store and they'll clarify. I'm pretty sure you'd have to line up ahead of the store opening time though.

Nope and I like that about them.

That way I know I am getting whatever set price for them. Feel cheated when I buy something and next day it is on 40% off and a week later back to original price and then again at 30% off (Gap, BR, Ann Taylor, I am looking at you!)

Room and Board guarantee their prices till end of the year.

Yes, there's a sale the day after xmas or t-giving. It's online and maybe also at the store. But you have no idea whether your couch will be part of the sale.

They definitely do not give discounts. I was working with an interior designer and while she got discounts at most stores, none at R&B.

We even had a chair delivered that had a nick on the leg-- I would have kept it with a small discount but they said they'd rather take it back and deliver a new one.

They have a warehouse near Baltimore-- you could ask to see if they ever have warehouse sales, although again, would not necessarily be your couch.

Thx. Good to know.

The 14th Street store did just have a bunch of stuff on floor sale - I think in May or June this year? We got a beautiful dining table that we'd been eying - $2800 new, we got for $1800. It was a little scuffed, but nothing that wouldn't happen within a few weeks of owning it. Lots of other stuff on sale too, but nothing we needed.
