Bullis FO/M to Holy Cross
Anonymous
Without any question, over the last 3-4 years, Dave Mitchell has run circles around every other high school and club getting his kids committed. Do I like all his methods or prioritizing certain kids to the exclusion of others, but he more than does his job landing his kids in the college game at a D1 level.

Bullis will surprise teams this spring .

There is life on Falls road, expect the bulldogs to act as the dark horse in the IAC.

Prep is the clear favorite

Nothing against Dave, but I would not say that he is running circles around DCE and MadLax. In 2026 the three programs are about even, and VLC was close too. In 2027, NL and MadLax are about even, and DCE is behind, but that is a down year for DCE. I expect that the main three will be around even in 2028, and I will go out on a limb and predict that the order in the 2028 class will be DCE, ML, NL.
all three programs are getting their kids recruited, which is great, but I wouldn't say one is running circles around the other two.

What players has he prioritized to the exclusion of others? This implies a pay to get recruited process.

NP, but I doubt that is what the PP meant, and of so, she is wrong. The college coaches' jobs depend on getting the best players that they can, and no coach is going to recruit an inferior player because Dave Mitchell was paid extra to promote that player.
If there is a complaint about Dave, I would guess that it is the opposite - he prioritizes players who have been in the program for a short time (perhaps recently poached from another program) who he thinks are most likely to get recruited, and gives up on other players who are less likely. If a player in the latter category has been a paying customer in the Next Level program for a long time, his Mom is going to be pissed and you will hear about it on DCUM.

Maybe, but that will be the last year of Bullis with any significance. Bullis' pipeline for 2028-2030 is horrible. Expect Prep and Landon to dominate Bullis in 2 years and onward.

This is 100% true. Dave definitely isn’t promoting long time NL players. He is happy to push aside NL players that make way for a shiny new thing in the last year or two before recruiting if it makes the club’s placement look better.

They are one of the several clubs in the area. It's what you'd expect them to be doing, and paying them for. Get the best guys out there.
