And a relatively green coaching staff.

For all the posts of championship meets, that's not a huge priority for this swimmer. Nice to have another option that fits the schedule well.

This is such a bot post and I don’t buy that you are really a machine parent who is switching. Machine hasn’t even put out their new schedule yet so how do you know hydra is better? And with the excepting of afternoon practices for seniors the hydra schedule is pretty much the same as what Machine had.

Maybe this machine parent also is a tuckahoe member? Discount?

Or maybe practice at Tuckahoe is a better location than Chesterbrook

So I'm the bot parent. As I said, the schedule is more convenient and allows for multiple sports. Yes, I'm specifically talking about senior swimming afternoons/evenings.

Curious how afternoon/evening practice allow for other sports? We actually did the opposite and moved to mornings to avoid conflicts with other sports.

Other sport practices in evenings. Can't do both with morning practices.

How do you know the schedule for Machine already?

We now have an acceptable alternative and it’s going to be fun. My kid saw the pictures of the proposed structure and said “oh that looks so cool!” We plan to make the best of it and enjoy our friends and beloved coaches. I’m thrilled that we get another year where my kid is excited to swim. I wish the same for all of your swimmers too, whichever club you choose.

I’m so happy Machine got a good outcome (and I’m not affiliated with any of the teams mentioned on this thread).

I guess this will be a true test of character...

I can’t imagine many kids fall into that bin. If you swim for him at tuckahoe and at York you obviously like him and are going to move with him. If you just swim with him at tuckahoe and a part of another club team it’s understandable why you wouldn’t move. If you just swim for him at York you won’t have further interactions.

Counting down to when this entire thread gets deleted like the Hydra thread. I kindly suggest that folks commenting on what will happen next start a separate thread.

why does this all trigger you so much? Just stop reading. There is has been nothing in this thread or the hydra one that merits totally deleting the entire thread. There were some specific comments that were deleted for reason, but deleting it all because some people got feeling hurt is just crazy.

In my opinion, the Hydra thread discussing the percentage of kids from Tuckahoe and those who are not from Tuckahoe was completely obsessive. However, it didn't violate any policies other than being annoying and obsessive. I think this coach and this club have received too much focus. It's crazy that he has gotten this much attention, especially when I haven't seen any posts about the MU NCAP coach who was in the news and faced legal complaints. It's kind of crazy if you ask me.

There was a thread about the crazy MU coach that was quickly deleted. Maybe lasted 6 hours…

No one believes the stuff about the MU coach but that doesn’t seem to be the case about the Hydra coach…where there is smoke….

This. Pretty sure posts like this is why the other thread was deleted. Anonymous allegations without any facts or details pushed to harm the reputation of a coach.

Alternating days for practices, back to back practices, etc. In this instance, practice ends at 10pm which makes 430am extremely difficult if I want my kid to have more than 5 hours sleep daily.

how do you already know practice schedules for other sports? Going into our sports with unknown practice schedules we have gone with morning practices. It is rough on the occasion practice is late, but also eliminates having to skip one practice or other. Afternoon are also tough with afterschool activities but hey to each their own.
