where to shop for a dishwasher ...

besides Bray & Scarff and Sears? Upper NW or MoCo preferred. I would like to buy at a store with knowledgeable salespeople and one that is responsive to any issues. Thanks!

Bray and Scarff isn't perfect, but we've always found them to be better than anywhere else....

Bray and Scarff is good. Have also had a good experience with Applianceland on Rockville Pike

OP here. We had a terrible experience with Bray & Scarf several years ago, so don't want to use them again. I will check Applianceland, thanks. Would appreciate any other suggestions.

We bought all of our kitchen appliances at ADU in Chantilly, VA and had a great experience. They have other locations in the DC area: http://www.adu.com/store-locator/

Respnsive? For a dishwasher? Go to any of the box stores, go with features and a stainless basin.

Do not go to Home Depot! You'll get a damaged dishwasher delivered to you...multiple times! And all the different arms (manufacturer, deliverer, etc.) will point fingers at each other so that ultimately, no one will take responsibility.
