Speed Queen. Google it and you'll find a cult following. Best ever. 3 year full warranty (3x longer than anything else you'll find), both wash bins made of metal and parts made of metal (about 50 lbs heavier than most other washers on the market), and all mechanical instead of electronic. It isn't pretty and won't have all kinds of different buttons and noises and weird steam cycles and crap, but it will get your clothes clean, last a long time, and be easy to repair if it does need repairs. You can easily expect it to last 15 years with some small maintenance (belts, etc).
Love ours. Look on their site to see who has them in person - usually smaller "down home" dealers. I ordered ours on US Appliances online and ended up saving quite a bit of money (taxes, better price). Was really happy with the service & delivery. |
