I've ordered skirts/skorts from the usual places -- amazon, old navy -- and they fall off dd's (non existent) hips. Gap, Lands End, and J Crew have very few (if any) choices. Where else can I find khaki skirts? DD is 8, 50 inches tall, and 48 pounds.
Lands End. Not sure what you are looking for as far as selection.
Agree with LE. DS is the same height and weight and we would be lost without LE slim cuts. Adjustable waists are your friends. Elastic waists are a joke. What about these? They have a whole uniform shop and I see several slim options? You just missed a 30% off everything sale (ended yesterday) but I am sure there will be another soon. http://www.landsend.com/products/school-uniform-blend-chino-skort-top-of-the-knee/id_185 http://www.landsend.com/products/school-uniform-girls-solid-a-line-skirt-below-the-knee/id_253562 |
If you're in MoCo you might try Flynn & O'Hara in Loehmans Plaza.
Try children's place. I've found that their slims (in extended sizes on their website) run much narrower than Lands ends' do. The buttons go all the way around the waist and cinch much tighter, thereby keeping the bottoms on the child!
Lands End. Great skorts with inner cinch elastics. If they don't fit you can return to an area Sears rather than mail back.
I have the same problem with my DD. I adjust the waist myself, hand stitching. Its not hard to do and it doesn't have to look beautiful. You'll probably find they can do it at your dry cleaners if you don't want to do it yourself.
