Looking for a great physical therapist, ideally at Georgetown - persisitent infant reflexes

Anonymous
Does anyone have a really good physical therapist to recommend? We just learnded that DD, 20 months, still has some remaining infant reflexes, which should have disappeared over a year ago. She has always had some trouble shaking her head yes and no. We'd like to find a great physical therapist to work with her. We have BC/BS insurance. Georgetown is especially convenient but we'll travel for someone good. We were told that the reflexes could reflect a neurological issue or, since they are confined to moving her head, could be due to a physiological problem. Anyone have any experience with this?

this place may be a bit far from G'tow (20 minutes w/o traffic, I think) my son goes to OT in Falls church and the staff is great.

We've been going to early intervention specialists for the past two years and think they are great. We go to Becky Leonard and think she is truly amazing. They are in Rockville.

Good Luck!

We have worked with the Physical Therapists at both Georgetown and Children's hospital.

I have been very satisfied with the staff at both facilities. The trick was actually getting an appointment. Even if you are unsure of seeing a PT there, I would recommend that you call and get on the waiting list.

LOVE the Physical Rehab office at G'town (OT/PT/ST)! They are all AMAZING. Didn't have such a great experience at Children's.

I will echo the PP on Early Intervention Associates. We live in Glover Park but travel to Rockville to see Becky Leonard. She is wonderful and well worth the 20 min drive.
