Need a vacation idea for christmas

For me, DH, and our two kids- 5 and 3. We have decided not to stay home during Christmas and would love some ideas. Our budget for plane tickets would be around $400 max and hotel would be less than $230 a night. We would love to do someplace in the Caribbean but not sure our budget will allow us? We have already been to Puerto Rico this year for a reunion but may consider it again. We do not want to do Mexico. Thanks.

Christmas is high season, so flights to the Caribbean will be expensive. Ditto for resorts. I would contact a travel agent for suggestions and discounted packages.

What about heading someplace cold? Montreal? Quebec City?

Williamsburg is lovely at Christmas.

Cruise? Disney cruise can arrange for a mini Christmas tree in your cabin.

It's a tight budget, but I've been able to find $299 airfare to Costa Rica and Belize in the past, if you're willing to watch the fares for awhile. You could do hotel on less than $230 a night, I'm assuming there would be a little more above that for entertainment/activities.

Check Aruba. Southwest has a nonstop and you should be able to get a rate around $230 at the Radisson, which we really liked.
