| My 10 year old DD has had a toothache since yesterday. I thought it would go away on its own but it hasn't so I called our dentist just now. I never realized this before but turns out she's only open Monday-Thursday. I'm going to call our orthodontist tomorrow morning and see if they can see her but thought I'd ask for advice here as well. Where would you take your child if you needed after-hours care? I don't know if this is truly an emergency or not. |

How bad is the toothache? Can she talk and play and eat? Or is she moping around whining while holding her mouth and refusing to eat?
Did you leave a message with your dentist's office? Mine is only open part of the week like yours but for an emergency he'd come in. |
| If it's just an annoying toothache, it can wait until Monday. If the pain is severe enough that she needs medication, I would call your dentist back. She should either call in antibiotics, see you immediately, or refer you to someone who will. |
+1 And if she doesn't cooperate with these simple things it is time for a new dentist. The orthodontist might have additional names for emergency backup. |

Garlic, worked like a miracle for me when pregnant. Might drug at first but gives awesome relief of pain and can cure the infection. Stick a clove next to the tooth and suck on it and then. Chew.
Seriously. Miracle cure and I didn't believe it either. Google it, even dentists recommend it |
