Mlsn is absolute top dawg! So different than any other league by a million miles. Only the best of the best play there. They will stay BY. Trust me.

lol whatta troll

Ummm... The person you're trying to label a Troll is exactly correct.

Sure but he’s clearly poking fun at MLSNext parents. So cringe and I’m an MLSNext parent.
Not clear to me. I thought it was a little kid that takes pride in their sports ecosystem. That's what kids do, good for him. When he grows up he will realize it was all a facade. No reason to argue with a kid over what they find dear.

I dont think MLS Homegrown teams where players play for free is a facade.

If it was successful in its goal of generating professional players it wouldn’t be, but it’s not, so it is.

Why do you lie?

Here's a list of MLS homegrown players.

Invention.

Agree this is all completely untrue. Mlsn would never and I mean never compromise the integrity of their league, which clearly switching to SY would do. Our parents and players will protest in the streets if this happens. You have no idea how important it is for Mlsn to remain BY. Other leagues just cannot comprehend and unless you play alongside the greatest youth players in the game you never will.

Trolling again. Must be an ECNL parent trying to sound like what they think of MLSNext parents. Making drama 🙄

All I see is ECNL parents (probably girl parents) commenting on what they think MLS should do.

MLS parents pretty much ignore ECNL.

It's like the yapping chihuahua that wont shut up that everyone knows can't back it up.

All I see is q1/2 parents denying actual concerns regarding mlsn staying BY and insulting anyone who brings them up as ecnl girl parents.

Its because MLS parents play at the highest level and they recognize that grouping by grade in school provides no value to them. Grouping by an international standard does provide value when these are your piers.

You dont understand this because your kids experience is playing in a rec league.

Yes, 100%. Mlsn is the highest level by far. Earlier this season our homegrown team beat ECNL team in a tournament 2-1, but we really should have had like 4 or 5 goals and there goal was a deflection. They tried to make an excuse they didn’t have their normal goalie but whatever. Point is Mlsn is so far beyond any other league and always will be. There is simply no chance for any other leagues to catch up. But if we move to SY it will change EVERYTHING! Our coaches say d1 scholarships will be automatic for most starters and even some mlsn2 starters. Probably 1-2 per team will sign pro contracts too.

Just wanted to confirm a rumor way back about private equity trying to take over youth soccer. Big money trying to merge MLSN and ECNL on the boys side. That’s what I was told yesterday.

Will it happen? I have no idea.

I heard it was discussed on a podcast yesterday so probably why the topic surfaced again. I haven’t listened to it yet.
