To answer your question, I’d say 13/14 jic and earlier/later if they ask. I’d also check expiration dates. I have a girl and we’ll probably fine tune that once she hits puberty. I hope she always feels safe talking with me about anything, including her sexual health/sexuality - questions concerns kind of stuff.

And by delinquent I’m being funny. I was not a problem kid. Had some depression related to family life. I was very sheltered and innocent beyond my temporary emotional period. It was like a mini identity crisis most folks have in middle age, but a few decades early. I can out of treatment very level headed and emotionally well/stable.

We bought condoms for our boys way before they were even dating. I put a box in their bathroom when the oldest was 12. It's not expected that a 12 year old will have sex, but some do. We also showed them where to buy them at Target/Walgreens/etc.

Exactly. Kids play sports you buy protective gear. You take them to the doctor to get vaccines to protect them. You buy them clothes to protect them from weather. You feed them healthy food so they’ll be healthy and the body can protect them from disease.

Why is buying condoms a problem? It’s being sure the start of their sexual journey is healthy and safe.
