Agree. Ince was a key factor in SJC’s best years as a program and still enjoys a great reputation as a coach and a recruiter so not willing to conclude anything yet about impact he’ll ultimately have on SSSA.

Even if its his second full year this would already be at least his second full recruiting window. Who has he gotten recruited? I get the whole Administration not being on board, but if Ince has all those connections who has he place or who has he recruited there to make the situation better? Just seems like an easy excuse to blame on the Administration, but recruiting is a lot relationship-driven, and if that's what he has, who has he placed in the last two cycles?

Current Saints parent of two. GI is very nice, but unless you are willing to switch to his NL club, he won't pick up the phone. So recruiting is all on our club. DS is happy with his friends there and it is a good school but pricey at $55 k/y. Just very disappointed that the school let this happen. Worst part is that lax probably won't get any better since they dropped our FB team out of the IAC and kids are saying lax is out now too coaches just havent told the kids yet. Hard to be get recruited with all that going on.

Sure looks a LOT like GI is right there in the coaching roster to me. Anyway, like I said DS likes him as a person, but there's no way anyone picks Saints over the other area more lax competitive schools who are cheaper if they aren't already coming from the middle school. One thing is certain, you will see less local lacrosse families look at GP for the coming admissions cycle.

Prep coaching staff has made it clear they are casting a much wider net for applicants and are recruiting nationwide to fill the dormitory.

Maybe you should reas.his bio. He stopped coaching at NL last summer with his 26 team. His bio says hes the OC at St. Johns. Ince is no longer with NL.

NL is slowly moving towards DCE status. The web site hasn't been updated for years, team photos have kids from several seasons ago, pictures of prime players are old and featured pics are of kids not playing in college. The owners are completely stretched and money grabbing at every opportunity to feed their 7 kids. They are prime for a buyout.

"Old" as in NapTown was literally just this past summer in late June?! You really must get a life. All club coaches cycle through. He's still with Dave Mitchell at NL - just ask him. He just rotates through the classes and his last class was the now club graduated 2026 class. So, clearly you haven't had a child rotate through the process. But my point still stands. The price of Saints is the price it is. He hasn't landed any recruits in two recruiting cycles. Most importantly, he hasn't turned any kids from the Landon's, Prep's, Gonzagas towards Saints or recruited any kids there that weren't already in the pipeline for whatever reason. Saints is done with lacrosse.
