Pre-ecnl is usually the third team at younger ages, after ECNL 1 and 2, if that’s what you’re referring to.

U12 top team went undefeated at ECNL St. Louis last weekend.

U11 top team beat MD United 3-0 last weekend.

That’s not “hardly impressive” so you may be mistaken given BSC’s absurd team names. I think it’s been discussed here multiple times before how ridiculously stupid and confusing it is to call a third team pre-ECNL.

I know top team u11 well. 80% cannot juggle 20 times. Many of them do lacrosse and very athletic with very little soccer skills. But keep looking at scores and names.

My daughter played the top U12 team today and BSC played very nice possession based soccer with coaches who were supportive and didn't scream like maniacs. Seems like a lot of axes to grind on here.

Supportive and not screaming like a maniac is about the last way I would characterize SC from extensive experience. And there’s plenty of Veo to prove it. But maybe he’s changed or an outlier. Wasn’t there.

My kid is at FCDelco - I don't care one way or the other about BSC, just noticed this thread after we played them today (3-3 tie, came back from 3-1 down). I can give you a breakdown of every goal if you'd like, lol.

Please do

Our coach hasn't uploaded the VEO yet, but corners played a big role for BSC (2 goals). FCD picked up a goal off a corner, a winger stealing an outlet pass, and a deeper shot from a back with about 5 minutes left to play. BSC played out the back almost to a fault because after FCD tied it up, BSC looked a little lost trying to push the ball up the field. Overall, a pretty well played game by both teams with very different styles and the rematch in the spring should be fun.

I wonder why you are so curious about proof? I lived in the DC area for 30+ years and moved to the Philly area 5 years ago. I follow the soccer forum here because there are occasionally some really great/interesting posts.

Thanks for commentary from someone who was there and not people who just want to criticize coaches ad nauseum.

Also, like I said before - I was just comparing BSC coach to what we regularly see here in PA/NJ and nothing stood out at all. The bar here for crazy coaching might be a bit higher. I also asked my wife about the sidelines with 0 context in case I completely missed something and she found nothing out of line at all.

FCD has another game this afternoon so it's unlikely the VEO will be up soon, but I'll be curious if it tells a different story.

What's wrong with criticizing coaches who verbally abuse young children?

Nothing wrong. But “verbally abuse” is tossed around a lot here and the bar is low for what “gentle parents” consider abusive.

I've seen BSC players crying on the field after getting ripped by their coaches with language I consider to be way over the line. Is that sufficient for your definition of verbal abuse you clown?

Then don't have your kids play?

I've never seen kids crying on either of my kids' teams, in multiple sports. They both are high level. I see parents more upset sometimes about things than the players and even that is rare.

I do think it would probably be better for you to find another activity for your child.

You don't follow threads very well if you think the person commenting was from BSC.

The crazy thing is that these coaches allegedly ripping these children apart are still coaching. So everyone on here are keyboard warriors. There are year and years of accusations on this forum and there has been zero action to these coaches.

So no one has cared enough about other players to pursue claims. Or maybe there has been claims but have been found to be meritless.

So don’t listen to ppl on this board. Do your due diligence and if u see a problem, do something in real life.

When you’re dealing with children’s reputations and ultimate futures in a sport that operates in a very small world at the highest level….it is very easy to bash those for officially not coming forward when you don’t think about the long term ramifications that may have on the child in this sport. It’s a small world. Even the most anonymous reporting will eventually be found out and directed back to a specific child. Let’s be real.

You be real. What are you even on about? Children don’t have or develop reputations, their parents do. The only reputation a youth soccer player should have is anything related to their ability to play the game. How big of a deal soccer is to a child or how they come out of challenging situations is heavily influenced by their parents.

You are trying to find blame for the challenges your child faced and the inconvenience of switching course when club/coach had the audacity to think your child was not as amazing as you think and/or declined to cater to the needs of your child. It wasn’t a good fit. Move on or report.

Don’t let your reputation hold your child back.

+1000%.

Makes matters worse, BSC parents pay good money for it.

As long as college outcomes are there, which is silly because they would be there without BSC, BSC will thrive as only show in town

Ah, the hater(s) has reappeared. I think it’s the same person responding to their posts. At this point, either a troll or completely unhinged.

Agree - I am the FCDelco parent poster and we finally got the VEO of the game uploaded and can hear every word from the sideline. The coach was a bit negative at times, but never screamed or scolded. He definitely corrected the players and pointed out mistakes, but don't you want that from a coach? Parents were also fine. Just an outsider's perspective to counter some of the comments the last few pages.

so . . . tired.

Where does falsely attributing any positive comment about a club to a coach or owner of that club fall on the top ten list of most annoying DCUM comments? It's top three for me.
