| What's the Emory GPA of its junior college (Oxford)? Its marketing piece doesn't mention that stat? For the marketing piece for the class of 2029, the GPA of 3.83 is forADMITTED students. Not enrolled. Enrolled freshman statistics will always be lower, be it for GPA or SAT. |
| First have your kid apply to Emory. See if they’re admitted to the Oxford campus. Then you can question the qualifications of the Students. |
| This Emory booster is one touchy soul. |
chrome-extension://efaidnbmnnnibpcajpcglclefindmkaj/https://provost.emory.edu/planning-administration/_includes/documents/sections/institutional-data/emory-common-data-set-2024-2025.pdf The back and forth is ridiculous. 4.0- 17.4% 3.75-3.99- 58.38% 3.5-3.74- 21.24% avg 3.84 Straight from the CDS from last year. This year clearly won't be much different. |
Wake, Tulane, and BC are very well regarded institutions. Many colleges are. I don't get the childish urge to sneer at different colleges. And that's not meant as an insult to children because even they don't do that. |
It is rather odd. |
Imagine being a grown adult trying to disprove that a well regarded college is actually good. Insane loser behavior. |
Again 'Worth' similar to 'Value' is relative and subjective. There are affluent people who think these schools are worth 400K relative to 3000+ other colleges after them. You don't represent the world. |
In theory Emory has higher test scores. For the recent class about 70% of Emory students submit scores vs 50% for WashU. |
I am looking at Naviance from our W school and this is objectively untrue. UMD is not an easy admit by any means, and it is harder from a W school, but you absolutely do not need a 4.0 from our school. You just need to have very good grades and relatively high test scores. |
only 62% submitted test scores for emory. washu has higher test scores, higher class rank, and higher gpa. Higher desirability and better students vs emory |
washu had 59% submit test scores vs 62% for emory - negligible difference despite these emory clowns saying otherwise https://admissions.washu.edu/life-at-washu/incoming-class-profile/ |
For Emory Oxford, their transfer junior college they own, do they accept test scores? I know that if you do UVA Wise you can have lower test scores. Out in California you don't need an SAT at all if you transfer in from community college. For Emory that is one way to get some admission seats filled. |
Not for this current year. https://provost.emory.edu/planning-administration/data/factbook/admissions.html 973 submitted/ 1441 enrolled. 68% submitted test scores. WashU hasn't released this data yet. |
Oxford isnt like UVa Wise at all, it more similar to Barnard in selectivity. https://provost.emory.edu/planning-administration/data/factbook/admissions.html They have the same test profile as Emory College 1470-1540/33-35 however 60% submit test scores. Instead of 68%. |
