How long do you think it would take on the metro? If I left SS at 2:15, could I make it to N. Bethesda station by 3? |
The wmata.com trip planner is pretty good for things like this.
There is no "N. Bethesda" station, but in any case at that hour, I would suggest that rather than take the train all the way into DC and back out, you should consider the J2, which basically goes down E-W highway, or some other bus. |
duh! I never even noticed the time planning feature! I'm blind sometimes! |
Take the J bus or one of the Ride-on buses. |
Ya, the bus looks like its the fastest. I haven't ridden the bus in like 20 years! |
Metro train or bus? I think on the train you'd have to go all the way through DC like a big right angle. On the bus it would be quick. Noth Bethesda stations are Grovesnor and White Flint. I'm sure there is a ride on bus that goes from the Silver Spring Station to all of the Bethesda metro stops, much quicker than the train. Sorry I cannot remember which one it is. It goes up East West Highway right from SS into Betheda. |
I hesitate to revive this thread, and invite more answers, but I wanted to point out that in the near future you should also be able to go on google and ask for directions on how to get places using transit and it will use metro's website to give you an answer. |
