Backyard toys other than a swingset for a 5-year-old

Anonymous
We are reluctant to buy a swingset for our 5-year-old only child because we just don't think he would play on it by himself, but would like to get some backyard toys for him besides his sandbox. Any ideas for outdoor toys for a 5-year-old? It's all grass so scooters and bikes don't work. TIA!

My kids have hours of fun with a Little Tykes basketball hoop (3 and 5).

One of those big bouncy balls w/the handle... what's it called? You sit on it, hold the handle, and bounce all around the yard. My son has one and loves it. Not an every day toy, but uses it at least a few times a week.
