I was one of the "rubber neckers" who logged on repeatedly to follow the "Here is a situation. . ." thread. I enjoyed watching Jeff flex his intellect and wicked sense of humor. I also understand that some posters felt consternation over the decisions he made and how he handled said hijackers. I hope that those who doubt his actions read the entire thread. He spells out what is permissable, and what isn't. If we don't like it, we can leave.
I have never met Jeff, but I appreciate the enormous time and energy he devotes to this enterprise. He has created a great resource, as well as a playground for adults to run wild with commentary and insults that most of us would never tolerate from our children. In my opinion, he did what most parents would do. If a child is acting up, hurting peoples' feelings, and hasn't learned how to play nice, you ask them to leave the playground. (Or, in adult terms, "go the fuck away.") Just my two cents. Cole O'Shea |
