Agree that he has mommy issues (and probably other abandonment issues), but when they met, she was more famous, more successful and more attractive.

It's unusual but not unheard of for men to marry older partners especially when the woman is attractive and successful. When they both age, the age difference is more obvious but I've know two couples like this. Not usual but not unheard of. I've also read that people who have a big age difference in their first relationship will also have one in their next one, but in the opposite direction and it fits here. Jackman was with someone older and is now with someone much younger.

Sutton is not much younger than Hugh. She’s actually age appropriate. I believe she’s 50 and he’s only 54.

She's a Broadway mainstay and that cult fandom has followed her to TV where she's been on some kind of niche shows: Younger and Bunheads. That was when I first saw her and she took some getting used to because she has a sort of goofy performance demeanor that I think initially struck me as too broad (probably because it was developed as a stage actress and didn't initially translate to TV) but either she mellowed or I got used to it because I came around on her.

The fact that Hugh's ex is upset about this relationship actually indicates to me that it's real -- it had previously looked pretty fake to me. But Hollywood relationships are so strange -- even when they are real sometimes people put on a fake "relationship persona" for the cameras. Like Kristin Bell and Dax Shepherd -- I believe their marriage is genuine but they also kind of perform it for people which comes off as so fake. It's just a weird dichotomy and I prefer celebs who keep their relationship totally private for this reason.

I not defending HJ's behavior AT ALL, but the claims that he complained about Deborah's statement are "an anonymous source" to a tabloid, so not exactly iron clad testimony.
Again, not defending the cheating, betrayal, etc. Just not convinced he's dragging Deborah.

Yes, that is what I have been told but most people do not follow Broadway stars unless they are first famous via tv/movie/music.

Yes, but Hugh does not have bio children and Ewan had only bio daughters before. It shouldn't matter but it does to some of these guys.
