how many people applying to priv schools used a consultant?

just curious -- we're not applying until next year, but our developmental ped told us that dc will probably not need special ed environment. that said, she's definitely got issues. we already used suzie blattner for preschool admission. anyone else? if you did use her (or another consultant), were you successful?

question for the op: was she helpful with preschool? we didn't end up using her, and i was wondering if that was a mistake.

We used a consultant (Laura Solomon) and she was very helpful in terms of providing a list of schools that we should consider, as well as the names of OT's and speech therapists for the interim. It was good to have her on our side. At the end of the day, I ended up doing the majority of the work on my own (my choice), although she's definitely available for more hands-on support if needed. Good luck.

op here -- yes suzie was helpful -- my dc got in to school of choice and i feel quite certain she wouldn't have without suzie's advocacy. i'm just wondering how her efforts play out when we get to elementary school level, and whether her mojo is the same.
