Trinity lives in Newport Beach (grew up in Laguna Nigel) driving to Silverlakes is 40 minutes. She might have been paid, she might not have been paid. Either way its cool that shes at the GA event.

I remember watching her play at Surf Cup for Blues. Freaky fast and just physically impressive.

Sure. An area that would be served by one or two ECNL or GA teams in CA can support seven GA teams, not to mention 3 ECNL teams, at a high level.

Sure. An area that would be served by one or two ECNL or GA teams in CA can support seven GA teams, not to mention 3 ECNL teams, at a high level.

Its pretty obvious what's going on. Both GA and ECNL view NoVA as a "target rich" environment for bringing on clubs. Leagues don't care if other leagues have clubs in the area they're moving into. For whatever reason both leagues have identified a specific area as where they want to exist.

Personally I think its all the gov work from homes that enable so many clubs to exist. Theres just a lot of parents willing to pay for youth soccer.

Long time lurker 1st time poster here, you guys & gals are nuts by the way! This is not hard, FOLLOW THE MONEY. More teams & numbers consistently on the boys side in clubs, why would a club not want the MLS badge? My daughter plays Ecnl in Ohio but our club on the boys side has stronger teams and gets more attention. Honestly I would welcome the switch to Mls/ GA earlier than later. Unless ECNL can position itself in front of Mls Next (long shot) then I give ecnl 2-3 years before they become 2nd tier. We know from history this can happen quickly with leagues. It's not like these clubs have multi year contracts, it's literally year to year.

Many people are saying the same thing. The girl dads are overinvested in ECNL. MLSN clubs are what boys prefer to play for. If MLSN drops the hammer on clubs that have MLSN/ECNL and say go GA or lose MLSN people know what they will choose.
