Kids With Special Needs and Disabilities
| Any feedback on the Arlington Special Ed Public Preschool and the evaluation for eligibility? Our son is showing some possible signs of autism (based from Arlington PIE Evaluation) and we are still waiting to get an appt with a developmental pediatrician. He will be 2 yrs old in May and is now gonig through Child Find and will be evaluated in April for eligibility for the public preschool. Our speech therapist does not think he will be eligible for the preschool because he doesn't have a "global" delay. I am concerned he won't be eligible for the public preschool and would have hard time attending a mainstream preschool. Appreciate your thoughts. |
The Arlington special ed pre-k has done wonders for our speech-delayed kid. Save your worries until after the Child Find review.
