Dp, but why would Brian Freedman care whether Blake is paying her lawyers or thinking about suing them? Further, it is obvious that her lawyers made some very bad strategic calls, and that she ran up some very large bills. Now maybe Blake and Ryan made those bad strategic calls with full warning from the lawyers of the consequences, or maybe the lawyers were hamstrung because there simply wasn't good evidence for Blake's claims, or she destroyed evidence before the legal case really got going. Who knows? But given how one sided the settlement was in WF's favor, how much she spent on legal fees, and the really questionable legal strategy, it isn't a reach that Blake and Ryan are looking for someone to blame. |
Either you can't even see how you are just buying into a narrative that was literally designed by Baldoni's PR team, or you are happily participating in pushing that narrative knowing what it is. You ask why Bryan Freedman would care about whether Blake is paying her lawyers or thinking about suing them. Exactly. Why would he, or his "BFF" care about these things? They aren't relevant to the case. Yet here is his "BFF" going on Megyn Kelly of all places to wildly speculate about what Blake or her legal team are doing, to even weigh in on whether her legal team arranged to conduct settlement negotiations in a specific location in anticipation of Blake suing them? Why? Why is this a topic of conversation, why is he speculating about it at all, why is he touted and introduced as "Bryan Freedman's BFF" as though this someone qualifies him to speak intelligently on this subject that you just said yourself is not something that has anything to do with Bryan Freedman? And then you are treating his wild speculation as some kind of indication of reality even though he has no inside knowledge and no basis for the speculation. He doesn't even know Blake. He doesn't know her lawyers. Bryan Freedman's best friend went on a podcast hosted by Bryan Freedman's client, Megyn Kelly, to speculate wildly about what Blake Lively is thinking and doing in private, and what her lawyers are thinking and doing in private, and then people who are fans of Bryan Freedman and his clients are repeating this speculation online like it's verified fact. This is the slop system. None of that is real. It's just BS intended to help Bryan Freedman and his various clients make money, at the expense of truth and the reputations of the people they gossip about. And you are gleefully participating. |
| Um, you know what else wasn't real? Blake's (Ryan's) allegations. It was BS intended to make them money at the expense of the truth and reputation of the actual director. And their arse kissing hangers on gleefully participated. |
You literally sound insane. Rumors about Blake being unhappy with her lawyers appeared many places before it was discussed on Kelly's show. It's not a big conspiracy -- Lively wound up with a horrendous result. I've been a litigator for two decades and have never seen a settlement where a plaintiff got zero dollars and no NDA. Her lawyers chose to file in NY when they needed California law to apply, and then lost on choice of law. Manatt filed a Doe lawsuit that was frankly unethical in the extreme. It would be strange if we weren't hearing these rumors. |
| They cooked up this scheme, dug a hole for 18 months, and now can't afford the bills. lol. Couldn't happen to a more revolting couple. |
It's reasonable to believe they really don't have the cash to pay everyone. Very few Hollywood celebs have access to tens of millions of dollars. It's also reasonable to believe in their uneducated opinions (neither went to college), they were just fleeced by professional sharks. And they probably were but it's all their own doing and this was all incredibly predictable. The lawyers, consultants, crisis PR, etc., etc. were all licking their chops listening to the demands of these two rich dopes. |
This was also a big part of the problem. Moving to seal the birthing video was also a tell. |
You just don’t understand how any of this works. I’m sure we would be a much more civilized society of everyone in various industries just stayed in their lanes and didn’t participate in exchanging information that wasn’t theirs to exchange. But people don’t operate this way in Hollywood. You can get a lot of capital if you’ve got a little information and it does catch up with you if you’re always wrong or just making crap up. Which is why so many of the rumors and blind items due tend to be somewhat true or based on something. To act like there are people in the know that might not want to drop different hints to press and creators is just silly. Especially people who have as many enemies as Blake and Ryan. |
| Let's just step in the somewhat way back machine, maybe a year or so ago when one particular Blake supporter here wanted to explore the personal history of every attorney who signed a document on behalf of WF, even the most junior of associates. Now there is outrage over the general question of whether Blake is happy with her lawyers. Make it make sense. |

I’m seeing reports that Baldoni might get as much as 10 million for his story.
I can’t imagine how desperate she must’ve to end this. To just stop the bleeding that she started. The Sony executives called it from the start, “she orchestrated all this drama on her own, and it backfired on her.” It will take months for us to fully unpack and realize how damaging this was for them and how many missteps they had. |
+1 PP is either really uninformed or intentionally taking things out of context. I tried to explain to PP that Mark Geragos is a famous lawyer and commentator who also happens to be Bryan Freedman’s best friend. Mark was talking about the case b/c that’s what he does. Literally every lawyer who does commentary is talking about the case. But PP wants to make it smear campaign 2.0 |
I actually think it’s worth closer to $50 to 100 million as a streaming docu-series thing on Netflix, etc. He obviously has the receipts, why not go big? An hour on Oprah or some ABC News sit-down is so passé in 2026. A streaming documentary would be the biggest thing on the internet and totally end what’s left of Ryan and Blake’s careers. |
Uh no! From the very start some of us said she and her smarmy husband bit more than they could chew. Two years and millions of dollars of legal fees later, they have NOTHING to show for it. Hubris, arrogance, malevolence and a gratuitous desire to harm and humiliate someone who has done nothing to you should come with severe consequences. |
And poof! it suddenly ended just in time for the Met Gala! Wow who could've predicted that? Ryan donates the big bucks b/c blake wants to trot the red carpet w/out all this negative publicity so, poof! |
They are firmly entrenched in the establishment. I’m sure they will always be welcome at the Met Gala, I don’t believe their agency will drop them, certain celebrities will be photographed with them occasionally, and I’m sure people are still blowing smoke up their ass, but there’s no question that studios and brands are very wary of working with them and will be for a long time if not forever. What is funny to me is that there are people on this thread claiming that Baldoni fans are crazy for not being able to stop themselves from commenting on social media. But it’s not Baldoni fans. He doesn’t have that many fans. It’s that Ryan and Blake have collected a huge number of people who see right through them and this egregious abuse of power that has clearly been going on for a long time and these people will not let up - and by the time they do - Ryan and Blake will just be irrelevant aging actors anyway. No amount of met galas and photo ops will change this. |
