In Class 6, which includes the high schools in Fairfax and Arlington, you need to make it to the regional final to qualify for states. Four regions (two in NoVa) each send two teams. On the boys side, it's McLean (6D champion), Herndon (6D runner-up), Lewis, and Woodson (last two playing tonight). On the girls side, it's Madison (6D champion), Oakton (6D runner-up), TJ and Woodson (last two playing tonight). |

| In the first round of the state tournament, Herndon boys defeated Lewis and McLean boys defeated Woodson. On the girls side, Madison defeated TJ and Woodson defeated Oakton. Now they all start to play teams from other counties. |
